Nonprofit Services

Soucier Design launched in 2010, and quickly specialized in working exclusively with nonprofits. I’m deeply grateful to have contributed to the impact of so many amazing organizations in Rochester and beyond.

My work is now focused on organizations providing relief, aid, and hope , and organizations addressing climate change, sustainability, and the environment.

Working in this sector means sharing the can-do attitude many organizations have. So I provide a pretty broad spectrum of services, and when there are things I can’t offer directly, I usually find a resource for it, and offer to stay in the mix so everything works together well.

WHAT CAN WE CREATE TOGETHER?

  • Logos

  • Names (new/launching/renaming organizations, programs, events, campaigns)

  • Brand kits (a system of graphics, colors, and common collateral such as brochures and swag)

  • Printed marketing collateral including brochures, rack cards, mailers, appeal letters, handouts, flyers, tabling tools, etc.

  • More print! Annual reports, newsletters, magazines, booklets, and other long-form printed pieces

  • Advertising for print, digital, and social placement (I don’t offer placement services, though; just the ads), both static and animated

  • Signs — interior, exterior, wall graphics, window clings, pull-up banners, custom shapes, vehicle wraps, etc.

  • Websites (mostly on Squarespace but also Wordpress when it fits better) — this includes everything from navigational structure and high-level communication strategies to pixel-perfect responsive layouts and training/supporting staff

  • Video scripting, storyboarding, and creative oversight

  • Creative writing (slogans, headlines, tag lines)

  • You name it? Almost. I’ve seen many nonprofit job descriptions that include “other responsibilities as needed,” and that’s my mindset. If you don’t see something on this list, you should ask me anyway.

Are we a good fit?

The nonprofit umbrella is quite broad. Some are so small that they don’t pay any of their staff and all of the funds they raise go directly to services. Others are enormous, with massive marketing budgets and prior experience with agencies. Neither of those are (generally) a good fit for what I do. Some of my clients have never paid for creative services before; they’ve reached the limit of what they can do in-house, or through volunteer support. Other clients are a bit more experienced than that, and come to me because they like the personal connection and accountability; the person they talk to in the exploratory conversation is the same person who delivers the work and follows through.
